The use of the internet and telephone for delivering mental health services from a distance is an emerging form of psychotherapy. It became a necessity for many during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. We can discuss whether this may be a good modality for our meetings. More insurance companies are beginning to accept this means of performing psychotherapy. Check with your company to determine if they will pay. Otherwise, telemental health is primarily an out-of-pocket service.
