Psychotherapy and Spiritual Formation

Dr. T. Craig Isaacs

Depression, anxiety, even relational problems, often have a meaning which--when understood--leads to a more productive and satisfying life. Utilizing a psychodynamic approach, we explore the meaning of the difficulties you are experiencing to heal them and provide you a more fulfilling life. My  goal is to provide you an opportunity to develop the optimal health of your soul. This includes quality psychological healing for individuals, families, and couples acknowledging with mutual respect the spiritual and psychological dimensions in the lives of my patients.

Having worked with all ages, from pre-school to elderly, my primary practice is with adults and adolescents. I specialize in dealing with trauma, and am a certified Post-Combat Behavioral Health specialist. I am trained in the utilization of EMDR and, when applicable, we may learn to use a mindfulness-based therapy in the treatment of depression and anxiety.

In addition to my general psychotherapy practice, I specialize in dealing with spiritual crises and deep spiritual issues. Having obtained a Master of Divinity degree I have also been trained in spiritual direction as well as having an expertise in dealing with concerns arising due to religious and spiritual experiences.

As a Personal Protection Specialist (trained at the Executive Protection Institute and the Gavin de Becker Advanced Threat Assessment and Management Academy), I also specialize in assessing and managing ongoing threats of violence and assisting with the traumatic aftermath of violence and abuse (both physical and sexual).
